This happened in a Hunter Valley Wedding
Congratulations, Kate and David, on your beautiful Hunter Valley wedding at Lovedale Chapel & Peterson House.
For the boys, with David at the helm, Brendan as wing man and best man, with steering by Geoff (another great wedding), this ship was ready to cruise! I was lucky enough to share Brendan & Vanessa’s along with Geoff & Clair’s wedding a few years back and had a pretty good idea how the day was going to roll – especially the speeches and they did not disappoint – classic! As expected David and his brother/best man Brendan were a cracker together – these two brothers are joined comically at the hips and from the moment I walked in, the one liners were firing off.
Meanwhile in another room at the Crowne Hunter, it was a much more sophisticated atmosphere of calm & champagne with Kate and her lovely bridesmaid, Gill. The girls looked amazing and with the help of Mum, the dress was finished beautifully with a small locket on Kate’s bouquet in remembrance of her dad.
I did have a little smile and an approving nod of the head to myself at the computer post wedding knowing that Kate’s bouquet had made its way back to Cairns a few days later to lay in rest with her dad – perfectly fitting.
With the ever threatening dark skies overhead, it was off to the Hunter Valley’s quaint Lovedale Chapel for the ceremony. We had a few sprinkles throughout the day with occasional blue patches of sky making for a great days shooting and continuing laughs.
Once the afternoon sun faded and small shower dropped in, it was off to Peterson House for the night. The room was lovely and after those cracker speeches mentioned earlier, the guests partied on to the always awesome tunes of The Baker Boys (good seeing you again guys!). In particular, the L.O.V.E choreography by Kate and David for the bridal dance was awesome and real crowd pleaser!
But we were not done there. After Kate and David departed the reception I bundled them into the car and back to the hotel for a couple of quick night shots. I hear they then partied on with friends and family in the hotels bar till the early hours – what a day! Cheers, M
