Sydney Wedding Photographer: St Charbels, Sydney Uni Quadrangle, Westella Renaissance
Clare and Steven hold a new drumming record for me – 12 Lebanese drummers and yes, my ears are still ringing! It doesn’t matter how many times I experience this amazing cultural feast, its like the first time every time – the sound, the energy, the excitement, hustle and bustle – just pure party! Its hard to not be excited with this 15 hour celebration – if you live anywhere near a Lebanese home, you know when a wedding is happening – the crowds, the motor bikes, the cars, the smoke – yewwwwww!
We started at the boys with some great banter among toasts of Johnny Walker Blue Label, beautiful food and the guys running around trying to find all their outfit bits and pieces, cutting off labels etc and…hmmmmm a few burnouts! Yes there a few road tattoos for the guys to remember this day for a while.
Over to the girls and Clare was pretty chilled out among all the excitement brewing in and outside the house. It wasn’t too long before she was dressed, a few quick picks and family from both sides were pouring in the front door behind the wall shaking drummers. Smashing through the mandatory family photos we got this girl into her limo with Dad and on the way to church.
To a packed St Charbels of almost 400 guests, Clare and Steve married. Now Steve is a pretty humble guy and not one to get too overexcited, but he definitely had a new smile sporting his latest piece of jewellery on the left hand.
Off to the City and Sydney Uni Quadrangle – stunning location for photos – enough said – just check them out!
Then to the Westella Renaissance where there was enough food, drink, music and people to keep the party rocking for days. It – was – non – stop – all – night…a true celebration and one to remember. What closed the night off wonderfully was learning more of the family history while awaiting the getaway cars arrival. Seeing grandma throughout the day enjoying herself surrounded by family and seeing ‘the kids’ growing up, getting married, then later understanding her journey of “The Two of Us”, you really see just how special this day was.
